Sinfest

Art:

Category: Traditional Comic Strip
Sinfest isn't groundbreaking in its art, but Big T has a really disctinctive and consistent style, and it gets better over time. I swear Monique gets sexier every day...
Story:

Category: Short Storylines
It's mostly joke-a-day, with the world and characters remaining unchanged.
Humor:

Category: Joke-a-day
Humor is always subjective, of course, but Sinfest almost always cracks me up. Tatsuya doesn't limit himself to one type of humor, either. This comic ranges from biting social sarcasm to lighthearted silliness.
Frequency:

Every day, rain or shine.
Website/extras:

The website is typical of most popular webcomics. An active forum, gallery and cast pages, online merchandise, and "notes from the Resistance" daily rants.
Overall:

Sinfest is "mostly hit, sometimes miss." Occasionally, it's only moderately funny. The rest of the time, it just cracks me up.
Content: PG-13 (occasional strong language, frequent sexual innuendo)
If webcomics were a Ginsu knife set, Sinfest would be the one with the sharpest edge. It's sly, clever, and brazenly funny with no inhibitions. Tatsuya creates such a warped version of the world that you almost have to feel at home there. I mean, who doesn't want to see God assert his authority with a "Who's yer diety?" thundering from the heavens?
The characters are all at some extreme or another, and yet somehow manage to blend into something that everyone can relate to. Slick, the main character, only thinks with one head, and it isn't the one on his shoulders. Monique has a good heart, but is, deep down, a tramp. Slick's pets serve to lighten the comic with simple, often "Charlie Brown"-esque humor. The rest of the cast includes a lazy pig (literally), a brainy geek, a holier-than-thou kid, some holiest-of-all angels, and God and Satan.
Needless to say, Sinfest isn't for the faint of heart. While there's never any nudity, the sex-jokes fly as freely as the angels. Those offended by impiety won't have to look very hard for something to drive them away. Still, one of the things I love about this comic is that it never degrades God. It's probably not the religion you'll hear in church, but Sinfest's hip-talking, devil-taunting diety is still the Supreme Being of the Universe.
If you enjoy sarcastic "with a wink" humor, you should definitely give Sinfest a try. If it's too much, then you can go somewhere else. However, if you smile and wink back... vive la resistance!
