What is a comic?

There is little that annoys me more in superhero comic books then constant retconning.

I recently told someone that even though I own a huge number of figures representing characters from the Marvel continuity, that I actually prefer DC Comics.

It is a common feature of artistic praise that something is "original." Likewise, the reverse is true, and to say something is "unoriginal" is to demean it.

Scott Kurtz, creator of PVP (twelve days of Christmas ago as of the day this column appears, to be exact) ranted about how Joey Manley is making comic artists look bad.
