Moonlight
Posted by: Maddrjeffe on October 08th, 2007

Moonlight is a new CBS show by Joel Silver (producer of Veronica Mars, The Strip, and every huge exploding film in Hollywood) on TV about a vampire detective. While the similarity between its style and pacing and Dresden files on Sci-fi is amusing, it's no Angel and lacks the humor and verve of Joss Whedon's Sunndale-verse.

The Brave One

Two-time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster stands a very good chance at gaining another well-deserved nomination for her performance in The Brave One. But don't expect the film itself, an engrossing, thought-provoking, but deelpy flawed film, to be a heavy comepetitor.

The new Amanda Bynes vehicle might best be described the way Ford Prefect described Earth: "Mostly Harmless." It's pleasant enough diversion, likely to appeal to the 14-year old girls of all ages for whom it is intended. For the rest of us, it's not painful to sit through, merely tedious.
