That will teach me for not checking my normal array of sites in the morning--work is busy what can I say--but ICv2 reports that Wizards is indeed annoucing 4.0 today. The new core books will be out in a year but oddly enough only one a month so you have to wait until July to get all three.

Over on the D&D site there's a countdown for a 4dventure that has the internet up in storm. Is this the long rumored, conspired D&D 4.0? It's it a countdown to a new setting? Or just someone at Wizards joking with us?

Wizkids is planning a big announcement at Comic-con tomorrow and while we're not sure what it is Comics Continuum reports that Universal Studios Consumer Products Groups mentioned Wizkids Clix line as a Heroes license. Due to the popularity of Universals Heroes this could easily be the big announcement, frankly it's hard to imagine what could be bigger.

Wizkids has announced the giant figure for Halo ActionClix (or Haloclix) a battle damaged Scarab that's massive in size, like Galactus, Cuthulu and specter this is a hard to get figure that only can be bought via lottery (ie if you ticket gets called you can buy one) for a hefty $250. But the Scarab is much larger then all of the previous giant figures clocking in at 24” x 24” x 20” while Galactus only about as tall as the Scarab but doesn't have the width or length that this beast of a figure has.

Big Ol' Bag O' Dice: Wizkids taps Pirates of the Caribbean for new game

A lot of Wizkids recent success has come from their Pirates CSG game, with some 20 million units sold in just 3 years, which is heavily inspired by Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean in not just feel but look so it comes as a bit of a surprise to find that Wizkids has just licensed Pirates of the Caribbean for a new game (one that hopefully is compatible with their Pirates game) since the Pirates CSG has done so well --why pay someone for a license that's easy to knock-off?
