That will teach me for not checking my normal array of sites in the morning--work is busy what can I say--but ICv2 reports that Wizards is indeed annoucing 4.0 today. The new core books will be out in a year but oddly enough only one a month so you have to wait until July to get all three.

Not surprising that 4.0 incorperates many of the elements found in Star Wars Saga Edition so expect simpler skills, class trees and possibly no AC anymore. Also announced was a max level of 30 instead of 20. Letls hope that the 4th edition high levels are as broken and unfun as 3.x high levels (anything past level 12 is unplayable to me).

Not much else is known right now, but I'm sure we'll know more soon enough.
