A Piece of News, Plus an Interview

Alright, first bit I grabbed from Newsarama. It's an interview they had with the upcoming artist on the Batman book Tony Daniel. He'll be jumping on with issue #670, which will start the “Resurrection of Ra’s Al Ghul” arc that is being written my Grant Morrison. Yes, I admit, I make small squeaking sounds whenever Grant Morrison's name is mentioned. I'm sure you have your favorites too.

Anyways, it's a quick and forward interview that gets into the few books Tony Daniel has had the chance to draw for recently. Those two being Teen Titans and The Flash. I haven't seen any of this guys art, but if any of you out there have, feel free to chime in and let us know what you think of the guy.

Tony Daniel also says that Batman is well suited to his art style, so this was a bit of a dream come true for him. I'm, personally, expecting awesome work from this guy. Also, he's given the hint of what we can expect to see in the story: "Batman with a sword in Hong Kong." Yeah, I'm looking forward to this, are you?

Ok, now for that bit-o-news I hinted at. There has been a cast list announced and I've got a nice little photo montage I created myself for those who may not be inclined to check out the story over at Newsarama.

There's: Patrick Wilson playing the part of Nite-Owl.

Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach.

Matthew Goode as Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias.

Billy Crudup as Dr. Manhattan.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the Comedian.

and Malin Akerman as Laurie Juspeczyk/the Silk Spectre.

As well Zack Snyder will be directing. His most recent film was 300. It's also said that they'll be filming in... Vancouver. Since no one is obviously sick of seeing Vancouver, we're getting more Vancouver. That's right, another film that has it's outdoor-type shots set in Vancouver. Can you believe that? Vancouver huh? Boy, I can't wait to point out all the places I know in Vancouver even though I've never been to Vancouver. Anyone noticing the trend yet? Good.

NEXT ISSUE: What was that nonsense about Evil Dead Zak mentioned? Why is there still nothing about Evil Dead here? When will he get around to it? All this and probably nothing about Evil Dead yet next time!
