Clix Teams Roundup

Three teams to play around with

The Hive

This team is inspired by the HIVE from the Teen Titans show. (Hey, I watched it when I was younger but not anymore.) I used some Marvel characters who fit in good like Yellowjacket but I'll talk about them later. The team consists of this:

  • R Queen Bee 45
  • V HIVE Trooper 25
  • V HIVE Trooper 25
  • E HIVE Trooper 22
  • U Brother Blood 102
  • V Checkmate Medic 19
  • E Yellowjacket 32
  • R Black Panther 27

The core of the team is Brother Blood. Since this team has a lot of characters, be sure to roll for leadership on his first two clicks. Also, Blood will have to be the heavy hitter because of his good attack value. Have Black Panther outwit any defensive powers and go to town. He has mastermind, so keep the troopers close by. The experienced trooper has enhancement so keep him close to boost his short range damage which can be coupled with perplex later on for 4 clicks of damage.

Next up is Queen Bee. She has mind control so take their strongest character and pummel his own teammates into the ground. She has poison so its okay if two people are close by.

The troopers are very different in their different ranks. The Experienced version has Flurry, Energy Explosion, and Enhancement. The Veteran can fly and he also has Stealth with eight range making him a very mobile sniper. Willpower lets him push without taking damage and he gets Energy Explosion later on in his dial.

Yellowjacket's main purpose is to tie down the big guy and wait for Blood to get to him. She can fly to carry in some help. Plus, she has good defense at 17 on the first click to help keep her alive longer.

The medic's job is simple: stay on the fringe of the battle and let the injured guys come to him. Keep Black Panther near him to protect him.

Panther's job is to protect the medic and to Outwit any defensive powers that the enemy has. He's got stealth so keep him in hindering

terrain to avoid snipers.

This team may not be the best but it should be fun to play with and should annoy the heck out of your opponent.

Roll Out Easy!

As I was looking through the DC Heroclix website, I was struck by an inspiraton. An Easy Company team led by Sgt. Rock with a little help from some heroes. Here's the team:

  • V Easy Company Medic 19
  • V Easy Company Soldier 18
  • V Easy Company Soldier 18
  • E Sgt. Rock 35
  • E Star-Spangled Kid 49
  • V Hawkman 48
  • R Captain Atom 105

Captain Atom is my big gun. He's got a good range of eight plus he has good damage with charge and flight.

Next up is Hawkman. He offers a lethal strategy with Charge, Close Combat Expert, and flight. He can taxi your guys in and then smack around the opponent.

Star-Spangled Kid offers a variety of powers making her incredibly versatile. She has Incapacitate which lets her tie up the enemy as well as Super Senses to keep her alive. Later she gains Leap/Climb to let get to a medic for healing and Close Combat Expert to protect herself.

Sgt. Rock is the leader of the team. He has Energy Explosion which lets him take out a big cluster of enemies. He also has mastermind for one click so keep the soldiers next to him to shuffle damage. Later he gets Toughness to keep alive a little longer so he can reach a medic.

The Soldiers are pretty much cannon fodder and are there to get damage shuffled to them by Rock. If you have to use them as mid-range machine-gunners.

Last up is the medic. His job is simple stay on the edge of the battle and heal his troops. Just make sure not to move too far away from him and risk leaving him alone and defenseless.

This is a pretty well rounded team. Just be sure to be more of a sniper instead of a brawler and try not to leave the medic alone.

The Sentinel

I bet a lot of you are thinking, "How the heck do you make a Sentinel Team?" Well, instead of having a 300 point robot monster, you can actually have other pieces. Some guys, like Bastion, are really Setinels in disguise. So, to clear up confusion, here is the team:

  • U Bastion 116 points
  • V Sentinel Trooper 28 points
  • V Sentinel Trooper 28 points
  • V Sentinel Trooper 28 points
  • E Sentinel 100 points

The main guy on the team is Bastion. He's the heavy hitter of the team with 4 clicks of damage and 11 attack to start. He's also got 12 speed to keep him mobile and outwit to get rid of pesky powers. He's got 6 range so boost his damage with his Sentinel cronies' SHIELD ablility. That's up to 7 clicks from range!.

The Sentinel Troopers are pretty much damage boosters and the clean-up crew. Use them to hunt down medics and weaker characters. They've got flight and 8 speed to start so they won't have trouble tracking down the medics. If they're too weak to do any big fighting just keep them next to Bastion or the Sentinel to boost damage.

Last up is the Sentinel. He shouldn't be the main figure, but it helps if the opponent thinks he is. That way, the opponent will concentrate on him while Bastion beats the tar out of their heavy hitters. But he's no pushover either. He peaks with 17 defense, 11 attacks, and 3 damage. And with 10 range he can hit from far away, too.

All in all, this team sould be fun to play with and they should do some damage too. Enter them in a tournament, and you'll be sure to win a booster.

Discuss it in our forums.
